Anyone mix on Sennheiser HD280?
Anyone mix on Sennheiser HD280? Any tips when mixing with these? Anyone boost or cut certain frequencies on a master bus to correct the perceived sound?
Re: Anyone mix on Sennheiser HD280?
I have started to use these exclusively for my mixing, had to sell the big monitors i had when i moved.
I dont boost/cut anything directly on my master (didnt before i switched to the cans either).
Before i start mixing down on them, i spent a long time listening to music on them getting my ears used to how "good" mixes sound on the cans. Then i do a standard A/B test with a comparable "pro" track during the mix/master process to make sure im not to far off the mark.
I like them so far and they seem pretty flat to my ears... but im no expert just my experience and 2 cents.

Used to use these before I moved to my HD600's
They are good headphones, the isolation factor was the hardest thing to get around though. I think the main thing (as well as the HD600's actually) is the transient response isn't as great as my main monitors so careful not to enhance transient material too much to compensate (or looking another way you may under-compress)
