Spag Heddy Lazer?

Post by CDPP » Thu May 29, 2014 3:47 am

Sound comes in at 1:18

Anyone know how that lazer's made? Get that its the usual pitch env + detune (maybe scream filter?) but the recreations just sound like typical laezrs. Any help?

part of what you hear is a basic lazer sound.
But.. That's being layered with part of the growl, and the sub. Messing with the envelopes will yield the proper movement. But I'd look toward layering at least a few different sounds, and sharply eq'd and mixed in a group channel, so as to make sure they stand out in their respective frequency ranges, but gel/compliment each other as one sound too.

it's also layerd with a whoop which plays one octave higher after the first section. for my ears the laser sound is quite detuned, so you should also try to mess with that
