ACTUAL PRODUCTION QUESTION
So if I wanted to record a stereo input into my ipad 3, what would be the best app for doing that? I'm thinking along the lines of a daw'ish app. Ultimately, I think I'd be bouncing in to and out of the ipad, which app works best with audio?
Your help is greatly, and humbly appreciated.

I really like the IMPC app, personally.
I have had an ipad for about 6-8 months now and haven't found a fully fledged DAW whats any good.
I like Sampletank for extending an idea.

Is there anything like audacity though? Just something I could record kind of larger segments of audio, like 3 or 5 minute takes?
Fuck, I might have to research this... time is short today

No it doesn't shit! Haha, must have been delirious last night.
NEVERMIND
You can get the camera connection kit to get audio in, I believe.

Audio share is great for for recording and basic editing. Plus it has all the copy/paste/sharing options.
As far as daws go, I like beat maker 2 the best. Supports inner app audio and has a lot of great built in effects and editing and midi options.
And I would go with irig pro/hd or the line6 sonic port. The both plug into the 30pin/lightning so you'll get better sample rates and stereo.
