drums want more volume.

Mix isn't muddy as such, but you could do with some panning/ a more interesting stereo image. That will help the clarity some more.

No the drums don't need to be louder, if anything need lowering. For me at the moment the track sounds like you have just added drums over the the vocal/violins instruments etc. The samples sound really thin and a little distance in the mix.

first of all it's good, but i'd say it does kind of sound like you took a drum track and mixed it over an original, turn up your music and vox if possible, and blend your perc together with it, try to give it a little character by removing some parts too or go harder on your edits around transition points. also pan much more and try some flange. the mix isn't that bad, kind of quiet overall though.. get it clear by crisping up your high ends on the eq, getting it louder is a different story, maybe add some saturation to the music/vox, or distortion maybe to get things louder and more evident in the mix. def try to boost everything imo.
