140 bpm, not so much for the dancefloor... I'm kinda formalizing this sound, trying to develop a new approach but it seems to come out of doom metal like misery and eyehategod and recent 140 music.
These influences aren't intentional, but it's my analysis upon reflection.
I wanted to keep it a heartbeat rhythm without much syncopation and focus on space and mood and building momentum.
Psychologically, it's about feeling that one has wasted one's life. That one's goals seem unreachable and the weight of expectation is unbearable. Not that this is necessarily the reality of life, but it is a subjective state of mind. Though, despite this, one marches on.
