Cyberoptics Sound Design

Post by TacoBlaze » Sat Jul 05, 2014 4:06 am

Hello, so I've been listening to Cyberoptics for a while, when I came across his songs in his new album "Soular" I was like 'wtf how". I was wondering if any of you know how to make his sound design from these links below: I have most of the common Instruments/Effects that you would probably have (Massive,FM8,Sylenth,WOW,Effectrix) If anyone can tell me, that would be fucking amazing. Thank you!\ (Preferably Massive)

(It doesn't have to be right on, I'm just looking for the simple setup design)

There's been threads on robostep. I find formant low-pass or filtering into a bitcrusher gets robotic results.

A bunch of really short delays on a bass sound will accomplish a surprising amount at making it sound metallic like that.

Soundcloud

The first sound is a saw wave and lowpass filter in massive, all I did to get it to the second sound is add a bunch of 10-30 ms delays and a little reverb. Throw on a phaser or flanger and you probably would have a sound close to what you want.
