What are your long term projects ?

Post by NickUndercover » Sun Jul 06, 2014 7:15 am

I feel this could be an interesting subject. It can be everything, from professional aspirations to visiting a certain country via buying that nice oldtimer and taking it out on sunny days when your hair turns grey. Anything you can think of.

Thread for dreamers.

I'll start:

-When I finish my degree I want to become a detective

-I want to climb a mountain

-I want to restore an E-type

Become a scientist.

Why become a detective? Do you have a thing for Sherlock Holmes?

I dunno I've always been fascinated with documentaries on criminal investigations and the job of an investigator. Nothing to do with pulling cheeky one-liners while putting on my sunglasses, I just admire the work. So when I finish my criminology masters it'll be the first thing I'll take a look at

This is exactly my biggest problem right now…

I have always had a long series of things I wanted to do…
But they have all been diminished and now I have none.

Future is absolutely dark.

The very last one was to have a community art studio…
To teach from and use as a meeting space.

I was going to call it CuART for copper art…
because I wanted to do etching and metalsmithing
- because you etch on copper
and then it could be repurposed into the jewelry…

Before that it was an electronic coffee shop…
like a newstand/gallery/late night music venue.
coffee, bagels, citron presse, japanese candy..etc magazines.

that was my bastard version of wanting to DJ…

DJing of course being so popular that it was going to be a fight.
I was going to have to own it.

I like to think things are different where I'm from…

In the city you have so many competing venues…
I'm thinking they are willing to try different sounds
just to get someone through the door…
or there are enough people to support a specific sound…

but come out to a college town…and the audience is dictating.
They are not prepared for their pub w/band to go electronic.
and they don't have to because they are making mad money.

It's not gully enough.

We already have Brew-ha-ha...
but I was thinking something slightly rowdier in a dance music way
futuristic…subversive…not just PC poetry and acoustic sets

Been working on a game engine for ages to make my dream game which the plot and mechanics have been on my whiteboard for ages.

Release a proper 2 cd / vinyl LP of my coherent music (the coherent part is the biggest pain, I have so many hours of unreleased stuff but being happy with it and putting it all together)

Masters or Doctorate in Computer Science (working on that now) and certifications for legal hacking shit.

Copies of all the breaks I ever use vinyl or tape originals

TMNT, Spawn and Walking Dead issue 1

I really like that ambient album that you put out a couple of years ago.
