Skrillex - Recess (Milo & Otis remix) sound

Hello there,
I'm looking for that bass sound they used on Recess remix. That sound is so diferrent for me that i have no idea how to make it... I tried some distortion but It didn't work well... my wild guess is maybe a square wave in Massive with some crazy modulation... thanks for any help

I tried to recreate this sound for quite long time, still I cannot find satisfying results. Can anyone help me please?

I'm 99% sure it's FM synthesis, maybe that's my problem

I can't listen to the sound right now but I think I get your gist. He has a pretty different sound on most of his Recess tracks...I think it might involve a lot of crafty comb filtering.

I'm desperate... hours of try/fail and still not an inch closer... I tried FM8 bass but I always end up with something more noisy than the example... also tried to come up with something in massive especially I focused on comb filter and it doesn't sound simillar at all :/ help pls
