Clicky sort of sound? Help?
Clicky sort of sound? Help?
Basically i've heard this sort of percussive sound...don't worry, not a bigroom animals question. It's really hard to describe what it is but it seems to be used in a lot of brostep/dubstep tracks to sort of fill out the drop. Check out this instagram from Them lost boys and you'll see what i mean.

Does this have a certain name? And is there a particular way of making it?
Cheers

The chugging synth? Saw wave LFO on volume or filter cutoff, add sidechaining for more rhythm.

Hey, could you possibly give a couple more details on that, not quite sure what you're getting atmthrfnk wrote:The chugging synth? Saw wave LFO on volume or filter cutoff, add sidechaining for more rhythm.

Re: Clicky sort of sound? Help?
apply LFO to the filter.
Instead of using a sine wave
Use a saw, this will give it quicker defined stab hits.
If you're using massive, like this.
