Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it. - Thomas Paine
Each of us should choose which course of action we must take; education, conventional political action, or even peaceful civil disobedience to bring about necessary changes, but let it not be said that be did nothing. - Ron Paul

dennis kucinich is cool. he seems to be the least of all evils. i dunno. i worked helping w/ some campaigning and at a polling place in 2000 and 2004 and i'm pretty disillusioned by the entire voting system. if there was a viable independent (non-libertarian) choice i would probably go for them.NoMoreComaStep wrote:ok then asshat, how about you step up and tell us what you DO support?showguns wrote:definitely not ron paul.
I also support and have donated the Maximum to Dennis Kucinich... ideally exact opposite of Ron Paul...
and keep name-calling out of threads if you want to keep them serious, m'k?

I think there is something to be said for a person who is trying to get elected to make our Government less powerful and our Liberty a priority. In short, Patriotism does not mean that you have any sort of respect for the State--it means to do what is in the interest of yourself and your family. I reject the idea that our Government should be in the business of business... or regulating our schools or our lives in general.showguns wrote:dennis kucinich is cool. he seems to be the least of all evils. i dunno. i worked helping w/ some campaigning and at a polling place in 2000 and 2004 and i'm pretty disillusioned by the entire voting system. if there was a viable independent (non-libertarian) choice i would probably go for them.
I like Dennis Kucinich because he is passionate about the issues and he advocates Peace towards all sentient beings, including Animals and the Planet on the same level as humans. This type of man deserves high office, but so does Ron Paul.

the shitty part about people like kucinich and ron paul: they will never win, because the media basically chooses who to televise and who to support.
Anyways - our whole voting system is fucked. I vote to implement run-off voting.

That concept is unacceptable. That level of apathy is UNacceptable. The only reason they won't win is because people won't vote for them. If people get up and go out and vote for the best candidate, that candidate will WIN.Phaelon wrote:the shitty part about people like kucinich and ron paul: they will never win, because the media basically chooses who to televise and who to support.

I suggest that you heavily Arm yourselves in the event that Guiliani is elected or appointed in ANOTHER Coup! The shit will definitely hit the fan, and they'll be sorry they didn't renew the assault weapons ban

im a bit concerned with all the choices.. remember what happened with Nader? all the focus of the people was spread out in too many places... so I am going to vote for Kucinich, you for Ron Paul, my mom and dad for Barak Obamma.. and everyone else for Clinton and Giuliani.
God.. please not Clinton or Giuliani.. for the kids.. not them.

In no particular order... Ron Paul, Dennis Kuchinich, and Barrack Obama.
I believe each one has worked extremely hard to push forward a progressive POSITIVE agenda focussed on the public, not personal interest. I think if any of those 3 are nominated, we will be in a good place for awhile. If Obama wins, I highly anticipate some serious threats on his life though which is a travesty.

that doesn't mean you shouldn't vote. the only reason your vote doesn't count is because you don't back it up with the Second Amendment. If the American people are Armed and pissed like our Forefathers, they'd have no choice but to count your votes--if not, they'd be dead.Parson wrote:i really don't believe voting matters
even if kucinich won kucinich would not win
We used to tar and feather tax collectors in the public square... what happened?
