My friend has just started making this sound for his new songs ... everytime he sends me a file for massive its corrupted ...(I think hes got hax on his massive xD) and when we try to recreate it mine isnt sounding near as throaty. Just looking for tips and tricks so even if I do get his sound I wanna be able to make mine not exactly like his. Thanks everyone :D

I would say try using a band reject filter to get that deep throaty sound. Also id suggest taking a look at this video, it ll defiantly help! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcq8nyEg1qU

Make a greasy fm bass. Split it into Lows Mids Highs and add a bunch of effects to each band. Lots of distortion on the highs. Mono the lows, spread the highs. Modulate one of the operators. It shouldnt be too hard to replicate
