Sampling Prodigy's "Crazy Man"?
For those who don't know, the bass-like sound at the beginning of smack my bitch up is from a song on their previous album called crazy man.
I wanna remix smack my bitch up and need that sample, but there's a siren in the background. How do i get rid of it and just make it so it's the bass-sound?
Sample starts at 0:09

You can try EQing out the siren. That is about it AFAIK.

Wouldn't know what frequencies to cut. I had a try for about 20 minuets and it just became really distorted, I could never get rid of it.
As for that video, I've seen it. He doesn't go over it.
Do you think melodyne could work?

seems like the sound in the outro is pretty much by itself
listen around 3:48-3:49, pretty much the synth by itself

Re: Sampling Prodigy's "Crazy Man"?
izotope RX would do this
Re: Sampling Prodigy's "Crazy Man"?
Heres my effort just using RX. A combination of this and surgical EQ would probably do the trick

Is there anywhere with the siren sample on its own? you could try layering the siren over the top and inverting the phase. To be honest I've never really managed to do this very effectively but it might be worth a try.
