Joining Dubvisadero Records for his first release is newcomer GiMMiX. This three track EP entitled “17 Hours” is a cinematic, sonic experience taking you on a journey through his creative mind. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, this EP tells the story of one man who has to overcome his fear of death and tragic loss (Moving On). His struggles continue as he attempts to fight back against a global illness & disease (Vaccine). The story winds-down as our character meets his final demise (Goodbye). Quite the head trip on this one. Nice beats and bass with a touch of moodiness and darkness make this a solid EP. Be sure to check it out from this up-and-coming producer!

GiMMiX (aka Michael S. Yelland) is UK producer and overall music enthusiast. This multi-genre music maker likes to explore various styles such as Rock, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, House and Experimental. Some of his influences include; Aphex Twin, Liam Howlett, Skrillex, deadmau5, Fatboy Slim, Massive Attack, Dan The Automator, Mark E. Smith, Damon Albarn, The Roots, RZA, J Dilla and Scott Storch. With numerous tracks and audio clips scattered throughout his Soundcloud page, you get a good sense of this talented producer’s range and style. With a lot of dedication to his craft, he is definitely one to watch in 2014/2015. No gimmicks here, just great music.
