Erhu/Chinese violin instruments?

Post by JamesHanvey » Thu Oct 23, 2014 7:18 am

Anyone know any (free, preferably x64) vst's that can generate that Chinese-like sound made by an ehru? Or know of any that will be good at generating that kind of sound? Thanks.

Won't be too easy but i think Malström would get close, you need Reason for it tho. Other option would be FM8 or any fm synth, but that would be challenging as hell.

Also this pack is full of cool chinese/asian stuff, erhu included:

Price tag is pretty steep unless you torrent it (I don't advise for that :) ).

Also off topic but really handy
The eastern one vst is a free vst with a bunch of more arabic orientated instruments!

Yeah, i was thinking of having a go on Logics FM synth, maybe the physical modelling one it has too. Don't have Reason.

Thanks for the free plugs ins, hopefully they'll work!
