Edward Berry AKA Seven has a discography stretching back over a couple of decades. He started his musical career as a drum & bass producer, gaining recognition with a number of singles on DnB godfather Andy C’s labels 'Ram', 'Frequency' and 'High Lite Recordings' as well as Liquid V, Philly Blunt and Bad Company Recordings. It was in 2008, however, that Edward found his true calling as a producer in the 140 arena. Edward rebranded to 'Seven' and joined London's young but vibrant dubstep community. He soon caught the eyes and ears of the dubstep faithful, releasing his debut 'Sirens' on the legendary Tempa Allstars 5 compilation.
Seven's release catalogue has grown significantly since his Tempa debut, having had tunes signed to N-Type's imprint Wheel & Deal as well as Subway, Aquatic Lab and more. 2012 saw Seven's first LP on the highly regarded Black Box Records; a 12 track/70-minute behemoth that garnered significant support within the dubstep community and was nominated for best album of 2012 in the prestigious DubstepForum awards.
Seven founded his own label, Uprise Audio, in November of 2012 (Awarded the DubstepForum award for best new label) and made his mark with ’Walter White’ on UA003. This track received a lot of plays from the top DJs in the scene, and was a very important part in shaping where the darker and deeper sound of dubstep was heading. Uprise Audio has since released records from some of the finest producers in dubstep such as Dubtek, Asylum, Wayfarer, Youngsta, Taiko, Quantum Soul, Klax, Disonata, Chewie and more.
In late 2013, Seven released the ground breaking Live From The Future LP and Extended Edition on Uprise Audio, as well as single on Tempa, a collaboration with long time friend and Tempa label boss Youngsta. As well, Seven is set to release another full-length, this one on Uprise Audio, in December 2014! Watch out for this producer and his camp in 2015 and beyond!
