Against The Clock: Deft

Post by soronery » Thu Dec 11, 2014 8:12 am

In the latest episode, Deft steps up. Based in London, Deft has spent the last few years drawing from footwork, hip-hop and more across a succession of singles, including collaborations with Om’Mas Keith and Manni Dee. Late last month, he released Blue Jasmine, an EP that explores “the meaning of hypnosis and awakening” across a series of ambient-inspired club tracks.

I love watching these videos, but tbh it's a bit shame that the part where they choose their samples and do all the sound design isn't included. I realize it's not that practical to make 1h-10h videos tho.

True, that 10hrs was maybe a bit too much. It just seems weird from my point of view, since for me having everything already on the table just waiting to be arranged is like skipping 90% of the process.

thats the point of these

speed composition

samples and patches can be existing

ten minutes of someone dicking around with a patch would be dull
