Heavy bass design

Post by GNova » Fri Dec 19, 2014 6:58 pm

Hi guys, sorry I didn't contribute that much the past few weeks, but I have a request, it is apparently a simple bass design, but the medium to get this quality is unknow to me, maybe it is about compression ? Or some VST ?

I can't get a bass as "punchy" than this kind, and with this space occupation so I ask anyone in here if you have any knowledge about it, I take ! Thanks

I've never even attempted to make that sort of sound. I was expecting it to be a xKore sound by the title lol.

I'm really sorry I can't help but do you have z3ta+ 2.1? Rapture? They have really good bass patches like what you mean. I would also youtube search "Deep House tutorial" as that's what it sounds like to me.

Thanks for the idea.

In fact getting the bass sound is not the main problem, it is getting it as powerfull and punchy as it is in Croatia Squad and other future house / deep house songs.

I thing it came from compressing... Slicing the attack to get a "D" effect (it is an image not the letter ^^) indstead of something like "/)"

Whenever i'm having trouble with the attack of a sound its usually because the transient is level with rest of it, so I use this baby http://www.fluxhome.com/products/freewa ... ersweet-v3
Its a free transient shaper that hardens or softens the attack of a sound, can make stuff super punchy! Hope that helps

I don't know shit about deep house, future house or pretty much any form of house except brostep influenced tearout electro house ( or whatever it is) , but I could still swear that half of the "punch" in those pro tracks comes from the mixdown.
