'The City Alight' finally, new tune up!!!!

Post by climate » Thu Oct 25, 2007 6:40 pm

Hey hope all's well. I've been without monitors for the last couple of months so have found it dificult to finish any tunes. I finally managed to get the cash together for some new monitors at the weekend and since then i've been polishing off a load of rough rough tracks that were made on headphones/ the shitest hi-fi speakers. Please let me know what you think of the new track 'The City Alight' on my myspace profile http://www.myspace.com/hyetalmusic. If anyone wants 320s give us a shout here.

so I played it and it sounds BIG!! (esp in the bass dept)

I do think that myspazz player is seriously degrading the sound quality

but I like the arrangement and the samples are on point (as usual with your tuners!)

nuff said!

Great mix....

Excellent.

Good job in the development of its structure, the ebb and flow of anticipation, tension and - pow! Vocal stabs add a wicked progression to keep things moving forward (along with all the atmospherics)...nicely avoiding dubstep's languid, soporific tendencies...

Mack me up with a 320!

Big sounding tune!
Feeling the main lead line melody.
I'm listening on real shitty speakers atm so cant hear the sub, I imagine it's rumbling!
Good work.

Pm'd everyone who requested so far. Think i might remaster this at some stage as a few of you have confirmed that its a bit too bright at the top end. Still intersted to hear how it sounds on a rig, let me know anyone who plays it out.

Ha no its my shitty mastering. Myspace compression chops the peaks off the highs so it sounds classic mp3 bad. 320 is a not so noticable but still i plan to tweak it at some stage.

yes Dave, listened to this last night on my monitors, and everything sounds lush, the bit where that melody comes in near the start is fucking heavy, and as far a s I can hear, the mix is fine...

props ! :D
