i have been into dubstep now for a long time, and a lot of my friends also like it

in the past i have heard it referred to as "smoking music" on many occasions

just recently though i have shown this genre to a lot of people (some of which smoke, some of which dont)

funny i thought, was that the people i have shown it to who smoke all like it, and the others that dont smoke weed didnt.

might just be a coinsidence but my habit of bunning the zut tends to make me overthink things like this

im a smoker myself and have to admit , it makes great smoking music, but i can quite happilly bounce like a kangaroo on crack to dubstep as well.
what are your thoughts???

Honestly, yes. I can't imagine someone who doesn't smoke liking this...or is at least an alcoholic like me. Basically you need some kind of depressant to chill out just enough to properly vibe on it.

Or you can just be a stone cold motherfucker who likes to rattle chestplates with deathbass. Those guys like dubstep too, and don't necessarily smoke the hobbitleaf

Smoking pot and dubstep goes hand in hand imo. I do listen to it a lot on my truck when I am 100% sober though. I even managed to write a tune totally sober once, for serious! Not a requirement but it certainly doesn't hurt.

don't agree with that really...if it doesn't grab you when you're stone cold sober then it's not really your cup of tea

even the shittest pop tune develops certain layers of complexity to someone who's off their face

im backing this completely, cannot stand it when people say they only like a certain type of music when they are off their face, to me that just sounds like it isnt for them.

coincidentally i properly got into dubstep after i completly quit blazing weed so i dunno how much weight this argument that everyone into dubstep has to blaze a spliff to enjoy it holds.

my point was tho
that the peeps who i askd that werent smokers, didnt like it anyway. not to say that if they did start 2 smoke they wud instantly like it

was just something i noticed and thought that i'd bring it to light

i liked dubstep b4 i started smoking
i listen 2 reggae, garage, dnb, house even rocky stuff. just when i'v had a zuut or 2, im more in the mood 4 dubstep than anything else
