most people have probably seen the tenori..
but livid instruments have got a new alternative of sorts/ midi control and input unit
http://www.lividinstruments.com/hardware_ohm.php
midi controller pads, faders knobs (also got VJ/DJ uses, see the x-fader) plus it does the whole light-up 'look i''m live' thing
USD 790 so £380
compared to £600 Tenori
EDIT - you can also choose wood or metal (rackmount) finish

Damn, that Tenori looks like a lot of fun. I'd not seen it before - Cheers! It seems like it's like a self-contained
Monome
I love these things from the toy angle. ElectroPlankton was way more fun than a lot of video games.
Maybe a rich Father Christmas can get me a Tenori this year if I behave myself.
The ohm looks like the Monome with knobs.

I've been trying really hard not to buy the Tenori today. I even found a place that will ship overseas.
Gah. Will power....Will power.....
I went through the same thing with the Monome, but the software looks like an absolute pain in the arse to set up, kinda makes running a Mac redundant. Maybe things have changed.
