Recording

Post by future producer » Thu Nov 08, 2007 10:38 am

If I were to record from the linein on a PC would the following work?

1. Open the Volume Control panel by double clicking on the little speaker icon in the Taskbar, it's in the bottom right hand side of your screen.

2. Click Options, then click Properties. In the new dialog box that's popped up, use the dropdown menu next to where it says Mixer Device, change to <Your> Audio Input and make sure Wave Out Mix is ticked. Press OK.

3. Another new dialog box has popped up, look to right where it says Wave Out Mix, and under the slider click check box so you have a tick in it. Now set the slider to about half way.

4. Exit the dialog box by pressing the X in the top right hand corner.

And what about if I wanted to record from the mix-in, would it be done the same way but selecting the the microphone instead of wave mix out?
Reach for the lasers, save as fuck.
