Last Japan/Zomby synths

Hey all, long time no post. Was really curious about a particular synth I hear in a lot of zomby tracks, grime tracks, and particularly the synth in Last Japan's against the clock video:



Always loved that sound but never been able to get it quite that grimey. Any advice?

2 oscillators, both square waves, one slightly detuned u can figure out the rest

yo you made me curious cos i love that sound, using operator in ableton, 2 square waves (used sq 8 for both), slightly different frequencies, fiddling with osc/vel so they're both different, playing with lfo, envelope, resonance and pitch envelope till it was sounding nice, and bare reverb and delay

a long way off getting that good a synth but still a nice grimey sound yielding some piff chords
