I've got a friend that's an animator, and I went along to one of these meet the pro's nights - there was some guy who I think co-ordinated the first british manga film - I asked how they chose their music, and he just said that musicians are always bombarding them with tunes they think they might like - he didn't really seem to care about musicians as if they were ten a penny. As he'd made it he didn't seem to care about other creative types.
Someone in Leicester said that he heard one of his tunes on BBC3's Ideal, and they didn't even bother asking before they nicked it.
Personally, I don't really mind giving away tunes for free, seeing as there's not a great deal of money involved unless you're shifting bucketloads (if you only shift a few hundred, you're probably going to have to put out a tune a month to make it worthwhile), but if they're using stuff for commercial purposes that's a different matter. Worth copyrighting for that alone I think. Listeners/DJ's free - business folk should cough up though.
Think quite a few movies would benefit from getting dubbed up though. Might be worth checking out some film/TV makers groups and touting some toons to 'em. You never know...

I presume this is down now...
I've listened over to the others instead. Your sound is improving a lot. Some nice sounds. Stigmata was my favourite although the high action (cymbals) seemed to be very hissy and drowned oput the rhythm. That vocal came out of nowhere tho and ruined the piece...what was up with that?
As for 90 monsterz again some nice sounds and good bass but the third section didn't do anything for me when you added in a guitar lick or something...
Don't put things in for the sake of it and be happy to run with the established sounds maybe use effects to get more out of them. This doesn't mean keep it simple as complexity is great. But would you bring in some post-bop freeform sax two thirds of the way through a guitar, bass, drums rock track?!
Add new things in everywhere and it starts to sound like a mixtape.
Some good work tho. I'm impressed!

all i can say is ive been into dubstep/grime for about two months and think that yeah my sound is progressing a lot-
all the other tracks like stigmata and rude bwoy etc are now mastered and sounding pretty well
took out the guitar lick in monsterz i werent feeling it either
i love it when people say what they think-
peace and a new version of badmenz is on myspace

You don't mess around 8-bit!
Right locked on to badmanz...
Builds up nicely into an interesting drop. Lots of sounds on display. I'm not keen on the ethnic drums, they sound out of character in the piece and are almost comedy when they do the pitched rhythm at the end of the 8 bars (!). There was one other synth sound which i thought sounded strange but that could be down to preference...
Good bass with some nice variations throw in and i liked the wispy atmospheres and vocal. Good beat as well (without the ethnics). It would be good to hear it without those drums as the rest sounds very good. I like the violins on the main drop a lot too. very heavy. It is the synth after them that i'm not so keen on.
I'd certainly agree with the progressing!
