Looks like it could actually be good. Didn't know Linklater was going to adopt that Waking Life, solarized effect for this. Gets annoying after a while.

All the characters are so different in my head. They're a lot less good looking for a start.

i just hope they don't twist the story to make it all about the conspiritorial / surveilance aspects of the novel. from the trailer one could get that impression. there's much more depth to it than that.

it's linklater though, so I have faith..it seems like it's taking forever to make though, same as Southland Tales and The Fountain..

The post production on that super advanced, anima-solarization process must take time.

it's one of those films that i really want to see but don't want to be let down.

i don't have the same faith in linklater to pull it off. but i live to be surprised.

I definitley feel that. Im super excited to see it though, as you can tell from my name Im a huge PKD fan. Its weird to me that so many other dubstep/grime heads gravitate towards his stuff. Anyone else noticed this? I was thinking it might have something to do with enjoying challenging material.

Lets hope the best for a faithful book translation.
I hope the whole movie is as trippy as the trailer suggests.

One of my favourite books ever. Philip K wrote so many amazin books. Yes, lets hope it's a good translation to screen.
Can't wait to see it.

Do any of you guys have a favorite Philip k. Dick book?

Mine would probably be Dr. Bloodmoney, its about life after nuclear fall-out.

My fav is The World Jones Made, about a guy who experiences his life both in the present and one year into the future at the same time. With such power, he becomes world leader. Then things start to go crazy... Great read.

Really? Even School of Rock???

Scanner Darkly is my favourite PKD book. Its just perfect.

I can't wait for this film - there are so many coming out this year.... Southland Tales (Richard Kelly), London Fields (Cronenberg), Inland Empire (Lynch)... and a few others I've forgotten about. I had them a minute ago.
