automating cutoff in albino

im using ableton 7 can seem to find the cut off filter to automate

just to make clear i can make the sound i want on albino just cany use the red line in ableton 2 automate

Thats because ableton only supports 128 midi controls and the filter cut off is just above that number.

I never seem to remember suffering from this problem when using the cutoff on cream filter 1.

maybe not what ur after, but it may help... try using the matrix & assigning an lfo to control the frequency of the cutoff filter - u can set the lfo to sync 1/4 or whatever u may need & adjust the phase etc so the lfo starts how u want. then adjust the intensity of the link in the matrix section.

u could just put a filter on albino n automate tht instead of using the one in albino

true - auto filter in Live will do you right - and it will sync better - but you can definately automate the Albino one .
