corpsey's ongoing effort to move to bristol pt 23245 *NSFW*

Post by corpsey » Thu Jan 03, 2008 7:25 pm

for living

I've got move by about september since I'm festering in the sticks at the moment... I haven't even been to bristol but I hear its good and obviously there's the dubstep thing there, but then london has even more but its expensive/crowded/dirty/unfriendly etc etc..

So what would you advise

Bearing in mind that this isn't about whether or not you want a complete dickhead like me living in your city

London innit

You would probably save more if you lived in London with stuff like travelling to events and stuff (not forgetting saving time!)

the attraction with london is definitely the never ending stream of events/parties

the problem with it is that i hate it otherwise lol

i reckon bristol could be a bit more of a relaxed pace

To be honest, I'd say Bristol sounds better for you. If you don't like the hecticness of London and all the rude bastards that live there and would rather a more relaxed vibe, then go to Bristol. It's close to London, so reaching for events there won't be a problem and there's plenty in Brizzle anyway.

Personally, I loved living in London and will be moving back there next year, but I also love Bristol and would like to live there at some point as well. It is a chilled place, the city centre has some lovely buildings and it has a great nightlife. You can drive out to the country really easily too if you really want some relaxed pastoral living.

yeah I think you're right really, will need to visit though obviously

Just recently though I've been starting to like London a bit more, I'd probably like to live there if I had a never ending supply of money and gak

A lot of people I know who live there like it now too... anyway this will all eventually come down to where I can get people I already know to move

london.

been to both. bristol is lovely, and i can see why people would choose it over london, but as with any small city, it's just a case of opportunities. you have to pay to be near the opportunities, and london has it all. plus i like filth.

Bristol is smaller thus meaning you can walk to all the clubs if you got a place in the town centre. Dunno what its like to live in London, but i always connote it with great nights and terrible mornings, i would choose bristol.
