Radio 1 Essential Mix, last night.
Radio 1 Essential Mix, last night.

Turned on my car radio last night (well very early this morning actually) to be greeted by a cockney thug 'radio edit'.
It was Pete Tong's essential mix done by a couple of Londoners i've never heard of. Named something like Herve & The Count of Montecristo(?).
Played a really varied set, dubstep starts at about 20 minutes in.
Use that BBC iplayer thing to listen again.
Large.

Yep, fidget is pretty cool, good party music, doesn't take itself too seriously and some fine, loping, housey grooves. Even got some good basslines for those that want sub but find niche a bit funkless.sam wrote:Herve and Sinden are real big in the whole electro scene pioneering so called "Fidget House"....they like to mix things up, like "Ghetto Bitches" has influences from garage...
Brilliant DJs and producers...with great cross over potential!
Hmm....
