LAB001 - Caspa & Rusko
Bread Get Bun
King George

12" Release - Monday 14 Jan 2008

The Aquatic Lab was established in 2006 by Garage Pressure to focus on the broad and emerging sound of dubstep. From the onset, Aquatic Lab sets a unique proposition – a record label managed from Australia but with a global vision from day one. As the name suggests, it is an experimental environment for today's established & tomorrow’s big name artists.

First off the block, two rising stars of the dubstep scene - Caspa & Rusko. Signed in mid 2007 – the duo have since gone on to produce a string of hits on Sub Soldiers and Dub Police - and arguably the biggest dubstep compilation to date Fabriclive 37. LAB001 features dance floor anthem Bread Get Bun, and uplifting roller King George.

Hot property, Bread Get Bun was licensed to its first compilation CD - Rinse Vol 2 – Mixed by Skream two months prior to its official release date.

Aquatic Lab Records is distributed globally by ST Holdings - Mastered at Transition - distributed in Australia by Inertia.

The buzz;

"Fresh from mixing the latest Fabric 37 mix CD with Rusko, this 12” is further proof that Caspa is killing dancefloors across the globe. A blend of dark narcotic melancholy and up front torrential dancefloor delight, all wrapped in cavity filling ridiculous low-end bass destruction and punk attitude." dubplate.net

"First release from Australian label, called Aquatic Lab, this is a Massive 12” from London’s Dubstep dons Caspa & Rusko. The bowel shifting ‘Bread Get Bun’ follows on from ‘Cockney Thug’ with wicked vocal samples and immense breakdown. As featured on Rinse Volume 2 Compilation Mixed by Skream. You have been warned!" ST Holdings

"London's dubstep dons return with the debut release on Australian dubstep label, Aquatic Lab. ‘Bread Get Bun’ was recently featured on Skream’s Rinse Compilation 2, with it's heavy drop and cockney vocal samples." Breakbeat Science

King George FTW

Big ups
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?
