Not seen any footie threads in here (shame on you all) so long overdue..
About halfway through the season now, looks like one of Utd, Arsenal & Chelsea for the title (come on Villa tonight)..Suprised Arsenal are challenging so strongly, hopefully some teams start working them out a bit or it's going to be a tight finish this season.
Hopefully this is the season for Utd in Europe - we seem a lot stronger defensively this season and the midfield is as strong as it's ever been, the only worry is the lack of cover up from if we get injuries (and possible to either Ferdinand or Vidic). Lyon is a tough draw but confident we can take any team.
How's your team doing?
and btw, Anderson is going to be a legend.

10/01/08Carragher said: "The situation over the manager doesn't affect me, it doesn't affect the other players, we get paid to play football and that is what we have to do.
"Our objective is to improve on the way we have played in the last few weeks, we should not be getting involved in things like that off the field, we have got to look after ourselves.
"We have to stick together. At the moment we are getting a lot of criticism from a lot of people, but we must rally round, get together, and prove a few things out on the pitch.
"The last few weeks have not gone as well as well all would have liked but the main thing is what goes on out on the pitch, not off it.
"We should do what we are paid to do. We should concentrate on that."
22/01/08The ongoing battle for control of Liverpool is unsettling the players, claims skipper Steven Gerrard.
After Monday night's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa - yet another failure to win at home by Liverpool - Gerrard admitted the club's off-field crisis was not helping the side's problems.
There has been renewed speculation that the Dubai Investment Corporation want to buy the club from co-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks and manager Rafael Benitez's future remains uncertain.
Gerrard told Setanta Sports: "It is not just this week, it has been going on for some time and it is certainly not helping the players.
"I have got to be careful what I say about the situation but it is certainly not helping the team.
"We know what is going on, but as players you have got a job to do on the pitch.
"You try to put what is going on off the pitch to the back of your mind - but sometimes it is impossible, when it is every day."

I'm a Derby fan. this is the season from hell. I'm shitting myself and we're only playing Sheffield Wednesday tonight
. I've never seen a shittier defence than ours, ever, including under 10's football.
