EXODUS: Bass To make your Belly Bruk!

Post by *grand* » Sun Feb 03, 2008 10:36 am

Surprised no one has done an aftermath post about the dance that although finished 5 and a half ago but still has a presence in my head as if i was just outside the venue.....

Seriously there isn't no dance that is better than DMZ leeds. Not even DMZ in london..... got there when youngsta playing.. it was nothing but FIRE. the last 7 days i been to 5 dubstep parties and i have to say that this DMZ was the one to end my week on.

Youngsta... killed it.. hold tight the Benny page productions, youngsta is working them beats out like an olympic athlete.
Mala, well, from what i can remember there wasn't to much deep medi vibes, it felt like i was playing a hack and slash, the onslaught didn't cease.... it was relentless.. hold tight that tune.... Fatboy.... i think its called.. this is to mala: you play it ima wheel it! Big set from him.
Goth Trad, guy never fails to impress me. Brings something different to this scene, East meets West for an exchange, the synthesis as a result is truly amazing and allot of unfamiliar people are left wanting to know more.
Hold tight Ntype.. him feeee CALM DOwN.. Ntype Clam Down.....Cos when your around, you bun the dance down.. ahahaha... wicked set from him... i think i got a little video footage of the crowd going sick to one of his mixes.... we shall see later on.
SILKOS, his set was fucking amazing. Straight. Thats it. his selection put me in that place, that place where nothing else mattered, it was filled with nothing but niceness. that night was truly a demonstration of the diverse sounds and skill that our present in our scene..
I missed Clue kid and cotti if they were both playing... real shame as i hate getting to events late.. but thats just how it turned out.. larging up the Mc for the night your chest as well.

fucking shame if you missed it... real shame.

Out to all that made the Exodus.. send it out to my Leeds crew and big up all those responsible for the event. Seeya at the next one in 2 months.. maybe...

definitely recommend that night to everyone though it comes with a warning ... women be careful, don't stand against ay walls and make sure you wear ear plugs... !

Absolutley amazing night, its always just much there.

The V gettting pulled up 4 times was sick, that tune is nasty!

Out to everyone skaking there hearts out, noticed you absolutley having it grand.

Also the lean FWD, Mircales mix by Mala, that was a full on percy for me, cant get enough of either track still!

Another track springing to mind is Stenchman - Signs VIP, when N type dropped that, it went off!!!!

I've had my rant on the original thread. Don't agree to pick your tickets up at the door, and think you will get in alright, cos you won't. Got there 1015, got in 1145. Watching people with no tickets get let in before us. Completely spoilt my night.

not as bad as getting there at quarter to 10 and queuing for 3 hours only to get told they weren't letting anyone else in. great fun

Hmmmm......Mixed feelings about this. Got to agree with boomphat a little bit. Absolute nightmare queuing to get in. We queued for about 1hr 45mins despite being on the paying guest list. Didn't have chance to pick up a ticket, and got penalised big style for it. Really felt for the people that had come from miles away only to spend the first 1-2 hours in a queue.

Having said that, when we finally got in, it was absolutely sick! (As usual). Really brilliant atmosphere in there - absolutely electric. Some filthy tunes getting dropped - Spongebob with the 2 or 3 rewinds springs to mind. For atmosphere and the epic rig, it's all about DMZ Leeds. Overall a good night, worth queuing up for!

i was paid guestlist too and prob queued for like 2 hrs to get in for the end of pinch's set..they need to sort it out for the next one.

Youngsta slayed me..and Mala..i ducked out for N Type (not really my sort of thing, but most people seem to be into it) and I left halfway through Goth Trad, i found his set a bit dull, the tunes were a bit repetitive to my ears, but he seemed to go down well.

And i have now experienced the grand bear hug as my ribs can testify!

Big up the ringing ear crew!

It was an absalute pisstake imo. What the fuck was actually going on?

I came up from Leicester, picked up 2 mates from Doncaster and got there for 10:10 to make sure we go in....

After being pressed up against men for 2 hours, we fucked off at 12:30ish to get some food and get wasted at my mates house.

If only the geezer on the door cared about getting people INSIDE the venue as much as he cared about his grass...

hahahaah.. hold tight datura.. we got's are skank on hahahah.. i advise anyone down here in south to make the trip north seriously. Shame about the queuing though, when i got there they wasn't letting in anyone else ... where there is a will there is a way. . . . . . roll on march. Get there stupidly early seriously.. it not about being left in the cold for that dance.
