I think Digital Mystikz on Saturday is going to be a big turning point for Dubstep in Leeds. There are loads of people feeling the music but more into other sounds. Things will come though I assure you. If events such as Valve Sound System are taking me on to play Dubstep and Transmission taking me on also then surely that shows its very appealing.
Make sure you reach on saturday! Its gonna be LARGE !

Leeds
me too. Just found this forum tho'.
Think it'll probably get pretty poppular up here, assuming Sub Dub keep booking acts. Haven't been out much to nights or record shopping recently (poor y'see), so I'm curious, how many of the record shops stock dub step, and what sort of range do they have? That'll probably have a bit of an influence: I know it wouldn't stop any half-way dedicated dj, but will effect how many new people start getting into things. I know I could find this out for myself by going and checking in the shops, but record shops are pretty much out of bounds at the moment.

Re: Leeds
Tribe Records near the Corn Exchange in Leeds City Centre is where you need to be mate. They stock all the latest Dubstep and also bits of "intelligent" Grime. I work closely with the shop and make sure they get well educated about the tracks and new releases. Go down into the Basement and speak to Simon or Tom and tell them Distinction sent ya. You will get looked afterMatt wrote:me too. Just found this forum tho'.
