I got that sent too, i always used to be fine with flying, but have had a few ropey ones the last few years with crosswinds, and bad landings that shook me a bit.

You wonder why he tried to land in those conditions.

Yeah I get a bit sketchy every time I land...

But i'm not gunna stick in this part of the world just because theres a slim chance of dying. I'm pretty sure theres more chance that i'm gunna die driving to work. I'm more facinated at how fucking amazing the engineering is to fly those big bastards around the world and land em safely more than not

YES

Ive only had 1 airplane experience when i was a child, and i didnt like taking off or landing.

This guy is a badman though, controlled the plane nicely.. my guess is he didnt anticipate the strength of the winds.

Surely they have lots of radars and mission control for that information though.

my flight from LA fto London (feb 29th) was the most turbulant ride of my life. lucky for me i was smashed and in a deep sleep and couldnt be bothered to be terrified, just let it kinda rock me to sleep.

Yeah you deff have to sink a few beers before you take off, then more on the trip... Makes it much more bearable :)

i've had more than a few ropey flights on one of these badboys

the close proximity of the emergency exit to the propeller always made me feel safe and relaxed.

whoa crazy save by the pilot!

i was once on a small plane coming in above a tornado. didn't actually know it was a tornado til we landed, but we were moving sideways, and so was my stomach. not a good ting.

i love flying, i love turbulence, i love that freaky sudden drop shit.
i fly lots for work and every landing at wellington airport is touch-and-go. so much so in fact, that every pilot has to do a simulated landing at wellington before they gets their pilots licence ... the runway is waaaaaay shorter than your average, and there is sea at both ends. plus wellington is one of the windiest cities in the world.

LOVE THAT SHIT :!:

see below for arial explanation.

i love landing, because that means the flight is over! Yeah, i've had some pretty bumpy flights in the past. keeping the wine coming helps immensely though. I dont think of the money i spend on booze on a flight as a waste, but more of an.. investment, during my travels :D
