how many of u out there listen to dubstep everyday and constantly have to check what podcast updates for the genre and are in constant look for mixes, dubs, etc??? Ive been going on this phaze since i needed something fresh to listen to from all the dnb i have been listening to. Its been about 3 months now, and been alot of listening even though some days i will go back to listening to dnb, or some hip hop, reggae, dub music, downtempo, etc....
I have also have been deeply listening to the mixes and have been "meditating on the bass weight" which im not sure what that means, but i just drink herbal tea that gets u extremely relaxed or drink a beer and go thoughtless while listening to dubstep to clense my daily stress.
anyone doing these things or am i just a bit weird??

Not really, listen to it/mix it/make it a lot though.
I was addicted to DNB/Jungle for ages but I've managed to kick that habit recently.

have no addiction for dubstep, sorry. i'd even say that producing dubstep is far more interesting than listening to it at home or headphones.
anyways, i'm rather addicted to sludge metal than dubstep

"f*ck dubstep. It's played almost exclusively by self indulgent wannabe losers"
amen

DnB DJ for 11 years meself. My old excuse for something other than DnB on the stereo, "Not my fault."
Dubstep gets me excited about music like I was back in 95 about DnB. Boh 'n ish.

yeh ur a don if u know about herbal tea.
basically i was on the dubstep thing seriously in 2006-2007. im stil checking mixes and wot the big djs r releasing but now im spreading my ears alot more and checkin more funky house, electro and bassline and crazy shit like reggateon cos i hear alot of that when i reach this mad latino cocktail bar every week, and the riddims r just stupid, they can proper get u in the mood and is a good source of inspiration for beat making..

i was very intrigued and excited about it when i 1st began getting into it[beginning of two thousand&five], but never was I obsessed. Especially considering the year in music in 2007,,, many doors were opened for all genres and even sub-genres of electronic music. Plus, I would never intentionally base myself around one sound, that's choosing ignorance.[imo]

dubstep will certainly get an airing everyday, its by no means the limit of what i listen to but I find that nothing else gets me dancing anymore, I still consider myself a Junglist, although perhaps a retired one. I just think as long as it has a hefty dose of bass I'm happy and will wiggle my booty.

Dubstep is starting to bore me.
So I only listen to it when I go to an actual party.
So like once or twice a month.

I usually listen to and play hardcore punk but have been listening to nothing else but dubstep for the last month now.
So I guess, at the moment I am addicted yeah.
Still yet to attend any dub nights.
