"Dark Crystal Dub" chilled dubstep

Post by doctor nimble » Sat Mar 29, 2008 5:11 pm

Gentle intro, that drops into a cheeky bounce-step rhythm. Deep sub-end, crisp drums.

If there is interest, 320's may become available  .

In a bit, Duncan.

This track sounds really good, but it seems to be lacking in the bass department. Love the bleepy melodies.

Cheers for the feedback. I've EQ'd the sub to be pounding through subs, but gentle for a more chilled listen through normal systems. Although I haven't listened to it on many different sound systems so I might have to re-think the frequency ranges.

What are listening to it on?

Im listening to it in my "studio", on Yamaha MSP5A's and can barely hear the sub, not normally a problem I have.

I just found the 320 of this on another thread, absolutely loving it, its gonna be getting loads of play.

Duncan, just had a listen...I really like the vibes on this, great for my Sunday afternoon session. I too noticed the sub seemed a little weak in the knees but I find it didn't detract too much from the overall vibe.

A fine effort indeed.

PS I was listening through Beyerdynamics DT770s

peace

Cool, I'll definately re-work the sub frequency range and levels.

Cheers again...

get that bass in order and I will definitely buy the track ;) unless you want to give me a 320 :D

dope as all hell

figured a track based on the movie would be a bit darker, but i'm digging this

Haha, this is really cheeky. I like the melody, and with some louder sub this could be a winner.

Hows about a 320??

Cheers guys. I'm on to the sub. I have some time over the weekend so will post the new version when the bass is pumped up.

Thanks again...
