it's turned into about 3+ hours each night. A combination of aimless reaktor programming and making new sounds.

between that i'm in a band. and any other evenings i'm collaborating with other artists with improvisations in various styles.

When I get home from work during the week maybe an hour or 2 messin with ideas... Then as much time as I can squeeze out of the weekend around going out and that..

Maybe 10-20 hours a week if im going well.. Which is pretty sad really, would love to spend 8 hours a day in the lab rather than in an office doing work that isn't satisfying at all and helping fatcats get rich

it depends. sometimes i can go two days without making tunes, sometimes i spend 10 hours on a tune and finish it in a day.
sometimes i wake up and make tunes straight away, sometimes i stay up all night and the next day making tunes.

i make tunes when i'm feeling inspired...sometimes i'm just not feeling inspired though

i'd say on average between 3 and 48 hours a week, it varies a lot.

shit, i always imagined I spent LESS time than most on music (mainly cos it takes me fucking months to get shit finished up and everyone else seems to churn tracks out) but rarely a week passes that ive spent less than 30 hrs actually writing (not to mention all the other hours wasted on music related shit, like listening, reading, thinking, emailing, sample-searching, crate-digging, whatever).

Shit man, i need to stop fucking around, AND count myself lucky

Back during this past summer, I would spend an easy 30 hours a week on beats..

Now-a-days, im lucky if I get 6 hours a week.

Lemme tell ya, at first it's cool to sit around all day and make beats, after a while.. You tend to dry up. I was unemployed for over 6 months, now I am hoping that since I am working, I will be able to come up with ideas.

Yeah I reckon you'll be sweet man... Same kinda thing with me, and once I was working 5 days a week, I have much less time to work on music, but I appreciate the time so much more and use it a lot more constructively. Also, plenty of ideas because they are bottled up for 8 hours a day :x

Got a girlfriend that i live with, got a full time job and when I'm lacking inspiration or experiencing writers block then I can go for weeks without producing a single (ahem) wobble ;)

Pisses me right off as I'd love to do more. Just like the good old days!

Find I'm most productive when I have bouts of insomnia. Weird, huh?!

3-6 hours a day 4-5 days a week. (about 24 hours average)

The rest of the time is spent eating, sleeping and listening to music.

Those of us who have jobs then...

averaging 5 hours a night sleep? probably less if i'm honest...but i make it up at the weekend.

i tried to set a time for when to stop and leave things alone but in reality, it ain't possible, because it's sod's law that 5 minutes before the 'stop time' something just demands more attention.
