Dank Morass is extremely excited to present their third international artist in Brisbane following on from Flying Lotus and Scuba - the man widely considered the best dubstep DJ in the world: N-TYPE !!!

A long term resident at FWD>>, the club that virtually defined the genre, his acumen on the mix is legendary. He starting mixing drum and bass in the late 90s as a teenager, soon moved into the darker side of the two-step/garage scene and went on to host a range of shows on pirate and internet radio. He now hosts a weekly Rinse FM show and has residencies at FWD>>, DMZ and Destructive. Last year, he mixed the fifth instalment of Tempa's Dubstep Allstars series, jamming 40 vital tracks into a single disc of bass heavy madness.

The users and critics at dubstepforum gave N-Type the Best DJ and Best Radio Show gongs in both their 2006 and 2007 awards, as well as voting Dubstep Allstars Vol 5 the CD of the Year for 2007.

A stellar line-up of dubstep and drum n bass will make this a party to be remember. Backing up N-Type will be NZ drum and bass transplants Roll Deeper, Brisbane's original dubstep champion Frosty (Hard Graft), Shards vs Luvpig rocking a glitch breaks set and the Dank Morass DJs (Swob, Walrii and Danck) bringing the sickest exclusive futurebeats and dubstep from around the world.

This will also be the official Queensland launch of issue 19 of Cyclic Defrost, a free Australian magazine focussing on electronic and experimental music that is renowned for both the quality of writing and its impeccable design. Issue 19 contains interviews with Australian dubstep act Western Synthetics, Ghislain Poirier, Oren Ambarchi and Francois Tetaz. Copies will be available on the night.
