Iration steppas bring a new meaning to bass weight. I still have tremours from their system. The valve wasn't anything special when i heard it...

University of dub has the strongest bass. It's in an acoustically challanged hall in brixton with different soundsystems taking their turns throughout the night. That bass hits you hard and deep.

Aba Shanti is def the tuffest rig ive heard. A few years back at Brockwell Park they had it runnin proper. 4 tump speaker stacks all facing inward like the corners of some fat dub boxing ring. Next level bass. Trust.

Have seen Shaka bass knock grown men over.

Loudest easily Valve. It was stupidly large and loud and i think my head would have exploded without plugs. Irration Steppahs system in the dnb room at DMZ Leeds was loudness too.

Soundsystems can get pretty macho, i mean whats the point of having something so loud that everyone has to wear ear plugs? I'd take a quieter rig with a lovely rich bottom end over something whose prime characteristic is 'fucking loud' loud any day.

The first time I heard Jah Shaka play this Bass blew my mind !

Japanese Guys from Osaka Killasan also have a mighty heavy soundsystem..
But over the years i must say I think the best soundsystem I have heard so far is the system in Berghain club here in Berlin, cause its loud as hell, you get a firstclass bass massage and its perfectly tuned so that you dont have problems with your ears...(or are mine just wasted by now anyway??)
Seriously I was a bit disappointed after I heard Jah Shaka last Sunday at the Coronet cause of the standard this FunktionOne sytem at Berghain had set to my ears.
Only Problem is that there are only Minimal and Techno Events in this venue. My greatest musical wish would be to once hear Digital Mystikz,Skream and others alongside Jah Shaka& Lee Perry tear down a Dub-Bigbang on the Berghain system !!
