WHY NOT ? - AFTERMATH

Post by phletch » Sat Apr 12, 2008 9:46 am

seeing as my kids dont understand the concept of "keep quiet, dad got in a 5.30am" . . .

PHAT NIGHT

great vibe i thought.....N TYPE was a great opening set for main room, was one of the more diverse DJ's in that room from the sets i heard....loadsa different flavours of the sound (and many thanks for the G list M8 8)

roots of dstep room was seriously rollin out...oris and benny ill :o
forum room seemed a bit bass lite early one but they soon sorted that out....lack of posters with line-ups made it difficult to know who was spinning tho . . quality tunage

thought the bar suffered with the sonics tho...some great differse sets going down but just lacking a bit punch and lo end wise.....

thought security and staff were OK to my eyes, much less ministry tourists/posers than last time i went to ministry when derrick may played last year......

good to to meet few peeps from here......continue to find the dubstep scene refreshingly friendly and good vibes......... :D :D :D

My first dubstep night

Mrrived very late and was sober the whole night, which is unusual for me, but I had a great time and introduced a mate of mine to the mighty dubstep.

Checked out all the rooms but had no idea who was playing the smaller ones.
caught Skream, Youngsta (which was sick), and most of Benga.

Will defo be doing this again.

that was a complete stomper. definalty the best boogie i've had in ages. systems in all rooms were quality. one diappointment was the £4.30 of shrappnel i had to part with for my becks. no chance of a refill to early in the night.

loved the garage vibes in the dubstep forum room. thanks for a great night guys and girls.

Massive night, N-Type and Skream killed it especially.

Anyone know who was djing 5-6am in the main room, because it wasn't Rusko was it? No idea what kind of music was going down in that hour, it was sick though.. :o

Was D1 bro, then he was joined by silkie when the bar area closed, was a sick night, banging soundsystem, big sets, met sum safe people.

Only prob is ya miss too many sets cos theres so many good dj's on at 1 time, which can only be a good thing really.

rah, nice bday treat haha.

dats a shame bout ur card, i was overly paro at the end that id lost money wen my wallet was empty, then i realised it was more likely the drinks ate my money rather than me "losing" it.

The night was alot, Highlights for me were Joe Nice in the bar playing some real nice vibes, Artwork in the roots room playing Dub 7", Tubby and Plastician in the Roots room were doing alot, also all the Dj's in the main room sounded sick.

I got interviews with loadsa the Djs and will access to some of the sets soon so expect an hour longish podcast of the night.

Tubby was absolutely huge! I wish i could have gone to a night for each room. What do you choose when you've got chef and pinch playing??

I moved around most of the night, two letdown's for me: i didn't think the system in the baby box was as well balanced as the other rooms and secondly i'm never gonna see the girl i met again :(

Does anyone remember what Youngsta's last tune was? Only ask because it actually made me want to unleash hell it was that evil, loved it.

Thought it was a good night, good crowd there for the event and the music and not a hint of aggro. Youngsta and Skream were the highlights for me, Sukh Knight played a good set in the end in the Baby Box, got quite rammed.
