.ksd files are Native Instruments format for saving synth presets... They are similar to a .cmb file for Reason combinator patches or .fst for FL Studio patches.

Google it.. ;)

Nice one Habitualbeatscamp! :)

Although I don't have FM8, you're keeping things going...

Thanks for posting :)

I'll try post a few more patches myself later... I have two EP's from my friend that need completion first though...!

What synths do people want patches for? Massive, Reason & FM8 seem popular, anything else?

I have one for the 3xOsc that I have to redo.. It will come with a mixer state patch to compliment it.

I'll most likely keep posting until people tell me that my patches are of no use... 8)

ha ha :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe someone can enlighten me..? In Fruity, when one saves a patch using a synth like 3xOsc, TS404, Sytrus, Wasp etc, does it always save them as a mixer channel state?

Also, does anyone know whether FL Studio 7 patches are backwards compatible? I know Reason 4 Combi patches don't work in Reason 3, so I was wondering whether it was the same with FL Studio??

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does anyone have any horn samples that they couyld post?? I'm looking for fog horns and those classic raver horn sounds ;)

Thanks

Only with effects in the mixer does it save as a "mixer state". With the native generators, it is a "channel state".

As far as I know, the channel state and mixer state patches work with any FL version. I have only used 6,7 and 8 though.. Cannot vouch for earlier versions.

I'll take a look around my HD for any kind of foghorn/airhorn samples that may be kicking around. I have developed quite the collection of various things over the past year or so.

That 3x Osc patch with mixer state patch I was talking about. I have whipped it up so many times, I don't even think about it anymore really..

The 3x Osc is a highly under-rated instrument in my opinion.

I will look for some of those samples tomorrow after I leave work, My computer time is coming to a screeching halt.

Edit: Yes, FL 8 is out. I have been using it for the past few weeks now. Still haven't gotten into the depths of the new features yet (slice-x, synthmaker, etc).

Are the people in charge of making stickies taking a long piss???

I sure hope so. This could prove to be a valuble thread, to ecperienced and newbies alike. I have been only working with DAW's for a bit over a year now, and would have found a resource like this invaluble to learning how to make sounds with synths by looking at what other people that are interested in this and related genres are doing.

Maybe I am a crusader (sp?)... Maybe too any malted alcoholic beverages have gotten the hold of me.

I think the latter would be the best MC desicion. again with the fuckin spelling.

Hmmmmmm.

Anyways, day off tomorrow. Back to the drawing board, will post more patches and keep this thread going.
