Too Low?
what do you guys think
is the bass drop for this song and the vocals too low?
i was gonna bring it up a note or two, but i might leave it as is
my system is hitting the first bass note but its more of a feeling than a sound

Nice tune
I reckon the bass is alright as it is, it would rattle your chest on a big system. Maybe turn the bass up a bit? but then again I'm always sayin that
I wish had my hr824 here then I could probably advise you more. It's so annoyin, I got it few days before I had to come to germany, it's just sittin in England brand new in the box
but I'm goin back on the 24th
plenty of bass for me then.

i'll probably get flamed for this, but broadly speaking i'd say that there is little point having much below, say, 30hz or so in yr track as A) most club systems will not be able to reproduce those frequencies B) it will just eat up headroom in yr track and C) if it is going to be pressed to vinyl then the mastering engineer will probably high pass it at around 30hz anyway so the needle doesn't skip.
much better to make sure your bass sound has the right warmth and texture (valves!) and let the speakers do the work IMO.
oh, and make sure yr kicks and bass sounds are all in mono
(the 30hz figure was a guess btw, let me check it)
