cloud, sid, vincent ftw.

Cloud / Barret / Vincent was e mainly towards the end.. as i maxed em all out & had the best materia linked to em.


Legendary... it aint about the Black Chocobo .. although it looks fucking SEXY AS.


Golden Chocobo was the one.. when i finally got it i was like... "thats a yellow one :/"

Then i saw a yellow one n was like WOAH THATS A GOLDEN ONE

U can only breed a Golden one with a Zeio Nut, i think.

I have a full cracked copy of 7 in a rar file somewhere- sold the PS copy :(i did start playing it again and got like as far as leaving midgar :\. Might dig it out.

You had to get a certain breed of chocobo to get across the water to get the Knights Of The Round Table materia to beat the 'unbeatable weapon' use it with quad materia and all this shit..

I once bugged it so I landed on the beach in the plane (took me about a hour of going. Up, down, up, down, up, down and went into the cave and got the materia, then my electric cut out cause we ran into emergency.... I was vexed aha


EDIT: Speaking of original copies, if the Sony logo is a certain colour or something like that you can sell it for a couple hundred quid cause it was the first batch what went out .

I haven't seen my FF7 case for years so I haven't been able to check if I got the good one haha.. I know I got it day of release as a late birthday present cause It was all I wanted (was a MASSIVE FF6 fan)

Either way I won't ever sell it you can't put a price on memories, I mean in 40 years time i'll stumble over the case and be like.. "ahhh, good times" innit, i'm sentimental like that

Von speaks truth. Black chocobos prolly look more gangster but you aint proper till your rolling on a fat golden chicken. All about having a spare in your stable n all. (Who knows about saying "squaaaark" to the chocobo in the field by the stable on the first disc? Them bitches can dance.)

And i got to add at this point @ whoever said in that other place about ruby being undefeatable. Buss out some tactics!!

Ruby has that ridiculous move where he stands on 2 of your people, and just straight fucks em up. BUT, he cant do it if you only got one man standing. SO, start the fight with only one person in your team alive (that way his best move cant kill you in one). Also, you need to have mime somewhere, aswell as (here comes the cheeky bit ) knights of the round (GET YO ASS TO THE GOLDEN SAUCER) linked to hp absorb. Always worth having some kind of auto haste equipment too (takes a while as it is...)
Then get yo ass in a fight with him, and cast kotr. Then, take a hit from the fucker. And mime kotr! (you wont run out of mp cos its mime innit!) basically, everytime you hit him with kotr you do baaaare damage, and get full life from the hp absorb!

All about either the start of the 2nd disc or the end of the 1st where you go to that weird town and fight that big fuck off robot.. You have to help out with the paper or something? I can't remember exactly..

Basically all about cloud (omnislash omgz0rs. GANGSTER when you fuck up sephiroth with it in that cut scene at the end...)
Red XIII is fucking awesome right the way through, but his final limit break was "take the piss" bad. 9999 damage?!! WHATS THE POINT. I can hit 4 times that with normal attack innit...(all about 2xCut materia)
Then I normally broke out tifa, but again her final weapon was shiiiit! Had to spend like god knows how long digging around in the north city to try and find the key to bastard midgar, then you get in and go to that machine that originally shot you to pieces if you went near it, and you get this absoloute piece of crap! DOES MORE DAMAGE WHEN SHES ON LOW LIFE?!! fuuuck off, i dont let my hoes drop below green motherbitch.

yea i remember i did beat ruby using the above tactic all about oneman. was thinking of ultima in 9 or one of the weapons in 8 which I had trouble with, though didn't play them half as much.

I remember this was my first RPG- got it for my birthday as it was meant to be really good, stuck it in, played to the first boss, died cos dint realise the counter attack and the way the game worked. Was a youngun and only played platform games. Tried again, died, got really frustrated and upset and wanted to take it back. played some crash bandicoot, tried one last time, got past the first boss- after about another hour WAS TOTALLY HOOKED and played all night until Midgar building.
Yea this game is too too much, I have such fond memories. Other ones don't even touch this.

Didnt think much of advent children though- was a nice thing to see all the old chars, but wtf with the stupid confusing story.

I think its safe to say, they don't make em like they used to I mean I haven't clocked up 300+ hours on a RPG since, I used to come back from school, wack it on and just fight shit, never got bored, music NEVER got boring either.


There is SO many blinding RPGs on the PS1 though I think that deserves it own thread if I am honest.

We should so get a gaming sub forum in the hideout

I couldn't do Ruby without emerald- defeat emerald and you get 3 master materia which basically makes you invincible to all but Ruby. Can defeat Sephoroth in like 3 to 5 minutes

And yes to Omnislash- so so sick- that looks really good in the advent children film with the sephiroth fight.

And out of interest how many times did you get fat chocobo- I played this game too much but only ever saw it max 10 times!?!
One of most meorable/best moments- when sid pulls the highwind level in the cutscene . Easily best ship in any FF game.

Was it just me but Advent Children ended to soon?

I mean FF7 is one indepth story it should of been at least 2 hours I think! 3 hours would of been fine...The game changed a generation haha, I mean it made it 'cool' to play a game what wasn't about driving or shooting people..They can't just rob us like that by giving us a film what left me with a bad feeling in the pit of my stomache..

I thought the end fight was just the beginning of it getting good I went to my brother......."Is that it?" and he went ... "I feel a bit sick, I might go stab someone..."
