Confetti Records and Anthill Mob come back

Post by big d » Tue Jun 03, 2008 6:21 pm

Just wondering what style you lot think they should come back with? Should they keep it the same as there vintage stuff or should they get a bit more tekky and dubby. Seeing as alot of dubsteppers are oldskool junglist and garage listeners i'd like to see how they could break into the dubstep, however i dont think halfstep would really suit them.

the new bits ive heard are pretty similar to what they had been doing bak in the day (which is :D ), dunno about whats planned for further down the line.
I wudnt be happy if they did "Bassline" or "Dubstep" instead of sticking to what made them great in the first place, is kinda whats let me down about the new el-b bits, wud rather he do new stuff in the original vein of style that made him so dutty-o
if u get me

I felt that way about the new El-B tracks too. I was also pretty disappointed that Horsepower went with a half-step approach on that Kuma remix.

This one http://www.discogs.com/release/856748 came out in 2006. Not very good imo.... They're legends. Not sure if I want a "comeback"....

for me, im not sure how much point there is them making stuff just the same as the classics, i personally would definitely like to hear them try to push their sound somewhere new in some sense

i would love to hear that classic sound in new contexts

Bring back the 4x4 stompers!!!

Seriously though, would love to hear a darker feel from them, but using their same production values and inimitable stlye.
