Toasty?

Post by prisoner » Wed Jun 18, 2008 6:35 am

:?:

His tunes were the ones that got me hooked on this stuff in the first place. And I haven't heard anything new from him in ages. His last thing released was on that Urban Grafiti release just a month or so ago, but that song was from like 06 or 07 I'm pretty sure. He's still got tunes from 3 years ago that I'd love to have, but it would make my year to get a fresh, hot Toasty 12" on say Hotflush or Storming of brand new material.

Is there any chance of this, or has he gone on to do other stuff....?

Toasty is incredible....so many lost tunes....it is injustice! There could be a lost laquers album just for him and it would piss on most other music (regardless of genre).....

Fresh material is always worth waiting for from him but a real shame he is so busy at the moment......still he will be a sick producer for life!

Cheers for linking to the toasty special Flash.....lots of unreleased bits in there so at least people can hear his genius.

Toasty is indeed one of the most original producers when it comes to broken beats.

yeah toasty is right up there with the best producers i've heard ever. i could go on for ages about why, but i'll spare you!

lets just say you could pick any 14 of his tunes, put them in any order, release it as an album and it would be one of the most varied, interesting and intelligent electronic music CDs for years :D

I think it's a shame that he really didn't become as influencial as he could have been.

And that's probably a good thing. Most of the cut & paste stuff being put out right now is, in all reality, fairly easy to produce and pretty stright forward musically. Toasty's shit is out there and it just proves how far above and beyond he is.

(on a random note i can hear one of my neighbor's practicing oprea singing, and it's funny as hell)

That Threnody dubs mix is sick and I've listenend to it loads of times. And the unreleased stuff is all releasable imo.

I mean it's perfect (to me at least) for like ABUCS005. a lovely, clean toasty white only release.

i've never heard a toasty tune i didn't like

i'd pay an obscene amount to see him mix, or just play tunes that he thinks are good one after another
