it was alright but nothing exactly earth-shattering. it takes a few massive leaps of imagination as well

i found the 3 punch combo of Did Jesus Die?, The Power of Nightmares and The Trap : Whatever Happened to Our Dreams of Freedom? to be a much more interesting watch

zeitgeist is like a kindergarten lesson for people who are really really out of touch.

it tries to cover way too much information and offers a lil more speculation than i'm comfortable with. it does touch on important points though about the similarity between religions, the federal reserve, and some key points about how 9-11 was clearly an inside job. its hard to care to communicate with people who still believe it was terrorists.

right now i'm checkin out the Did Jesus Die stuff. its hard to take stuff about the new testament seriously though. there's so many holes in their story. been edited way too many times. i can't put much weight into those stories. i'm not even sure if st paul existed and this video is just taking for granted that he was real

i thought it was on the mark - apart from the 9/11 thing - more likely the barn door was left open rather than a direct invovement -
but i do like to try and ruin peoples fun :P

yeah it does take the existence of Jesus & his apostles for granted, which is something that I realise many people don't believe (and something I personally do).

I liked the buddhism stuff in it, though. similar to the horus stuff but with more tangible evidence of it in the fundamentals of the christian faith

i'm not finished watching it yet and i could be paying more attention to it but i don't question the existence of jesus so much as i question a lot of the understanding about him. like st paul. he was the guy who was preaching against gnosticism. he didn't like gnosticism because it taught reincarnation.

personally i think jesus was a reincarnation of horus. and thoth and enoch, and all kinds of other dudes who came down and tried to teach some good stuff.

yeah i also think they're alien souls :]

that's a pretty big assumption though isn't it? that they're able to foresee and prevent any given terrorist attack

i don't see it as that mad a suggestion that the pentagon/wtc attacks were a monumental demonstration of the fallibility of military intelligence

all a plane has to do is leave its course for 3 minutes and it will get shot down by jetfighters

don't be so naive

this was even predicted by the X-FILES earlier that year

yeah I wouldn't completely dismiss the idea that he's a hypothetical amalgamation of various different mythological figures, but the starting point of that almalgamation is what troubles me about that theory. like how & why would it start? i find it much more likely that he was a decent bloke who actually existed, who the tibetans believed to be the dalai lama & whose mythological status was built up inordinately by his power-hungry followers

surely that's a post-wtc/pentagon rule, though?

i'd have thought it was naive to believe that the military is completely infallible when it wants to be
