Post by pk- » Tue Jun 27, 2006 6:38 pm

just wondering if anyone had any info on this, i can't seem to find any lineups or anything.

it'll be the first dubstep night i'll ever have been to, i'm shivering with excitement!

Nirz who posts here occasionally plays a bit of dubstep in the second room at Turbulence, apart from that sadly not. Though as far as I'm aware there are a few people picking up dubstep from RPM.

Yeah, the next step is a dedicated dubstep night or room, at the moment its just sharing the stage with other genres.

haha, we had a rave last week in a field at the back of Uni, and they spun about 3 Dubstep tracks in the mix...
I got right up to the front, lovin it, but the crowd were SO not ready. Blank stares, like someone slapped them after the reggae.

i dj'ed a couple of raves in the woods near our uni, some people were really liking it, these guys took a video clip on their phone from the last one, and showed it to me cause they wanted to know what the really cool tune i was playing was.. which happened to be 'earth run a red'. kinda interesting cause they were into funky house and stuff, dont think theyd heard of dubstep but yeah, when that bass drops some people just *know*...

Thats strange the guys who play tribal and funky house on the student radio before me were desperate to find out about Pop Pop and Midnight Request Line. Time to target some new converts
