von stroke was ok imo, but pretty boring the set never went anywhere.

i dint feel caspa and ruskos set at all, was packed full of the wrong ppl and the mixing wasnt saying anything.

Warlock was good as i remember as well.
The bug was seriously sick, was only to quiet for about 5 mins, at the front anyway. Just frustrating wen u get ketted up hippies right at the front just standing there dribbling? wtf is that about?

Also forgot about iration steppas and tayo, both absolutely smacked it and big up greg dread as well playing some awsome breakstep.

would recommend the weekend to anyone, defos need more dubstep and less funky house and breaks next year haha. But thats just my opinion, really carnt stand that stuff. 8)

Bassclef and Vexd were brilliant, partly because their sets were different from alot I've seen. Distance, C & R and Plastician were good as well, and the Bug was excellent when Flowdan and Daddy Freddy came on, the music was proper quite at the beginning though. The Breaksday tent on friday night was sick as well. Pissed I missed Elemental, completley KO until about 1.30 on sunday morning :?

one complaint was the volume, why turn the volume down after 12.00 when the festival is in the middle of nowhere (really)? also I dont mind people taking drugs, thats their business, but it annoys me when you're trying to enjoy the music and someone's so Ketamised that they keep falling in to you, it happened pretty much every time I was dancing, I think I must just have a bad choice of dance spots

Who else saw the fight in the bugs set? there were two I think :?

edit: Also Tayo was brilliant, and what was the tune that Rusko played near the end of their set? was quite garagey with only short blasts of bass? Was also good to hear some dubstep on the main stage :o I heard Sandsnake playing as I walked past the main tent, went straight in :D fairly decent crowd for about 3 in the afternoon and no name on the lineup(?)

bass clef, vexd, distance and ital teks sunday morning set were the highlights of my weekend. i have to say bugs set was a real disapoinment...i literally lost count the amount of times they rewinded the tunes. forgot to mention how weak the sound system was at the overkill tent, reall shame considering the majority of all the dubstep line ups were in that tent.

and who ever was playing dubstep on saturday night had the whole place goin, think it was at the idm tent. spent enough time in that tent before staggering back to my tent.

i totally agree with u. its seriously not on. if glades a dance festival, then let it be a real dance festival...the 4am ending on saturday night was a real blessing, you dont get the same sleep when those subs are pumping.

Nice reports. Glad to hear it went well, without the mudfest of last years.

This is why I like festivals abroad. They generally don't have nightime soundrules and play all night on the most part, plus they are cheaper with (normally) less shit weather.

WhOle Weekend was a PieCe...

Where to Begin??
Thursday:- Pussy Parloure with Malcolm Haynes - DJ/Director

Friday:- Bonze, Tobias Schmitt. Bang Ya' Face - Tunes get abit Standard, Strobes Fuk your Head.
After a Bowl aBout', avoiding Pendulum, I found myself fully enjoying the Ethno-Tekno & D'n'B in the Hippie / Buddha Cafe...
( I know the Name but For the Life of me cant remember right Now...)
And the Deep and Meaningful words of the Authors of 2012. Saw some of Slam. In full knowledge there was alot more Festie yet to come, Saved my energy and got an Early Night.

Saturday:- Day started infront onf the Origin stage with the Prog _ Psy, then on to Distance. Bumped into some Peeps I had not seem in 5yrs + serious Reminissing... Back to Osaka INvasion. MENTAL!!
Onto Origin, Flip Flop, Far to Loud and Autechre...
Then Origin to link with Old Friends for the Duration...
Then it Dawned on me... I Have a Krew Pass, Diamond. So Kidnapping my M8, took us Backstage, Behind Logic Bomb and Infront of 600+ people, Proceeded to 'Get my Bez On' for 15 - 20 minutes b4 the stage closed.
Jeff Mills (So So(those words dont come easy to a Techno nut))
RinkaDink improptu set in Liquid stage with AvaLon & Mood Deluxe. Good Times!

SunDay:- All About the DubZ.
EleMentaL:- HENCH set.
Fromen Ory:- Hmm

At this point I thought I was going to Chip... Fracture in my Heel was stating to give me Jip after 2days unsolicited Ravin'
But a change of Heart and more Pain Killers had me Fully Appreciating Red Snapper and Irration Steppaz Back Stage...
Met Rusko again, and caught the start if Tayo's set B4 calling it a Day.

Funniest Moment:- Listening to the Security Radio, TX team chasing Ravers accross a field. Left a gate open only to Get SUrrounded By COWS!! Called in for the Farmer and another team to come and get them Out!! HA Fookin' HA!! Get a MOOve on LaDs....
Every thing was fine until Chainsaw Calligraphy, when it suddenly felt like someone had raped my eardrums...

Maybe I am just getting older and Cynical... And I do agree to a certain extent, but that No. of F1 speakers could happly Deafen a pilled up Bev' Monsta standind 5ft away, in a 6 hr period. Organisers are probably lookin' for as few Law Siuts as Possible.
The Power and Quality of the speakers speak for themselves, you are unlikely to get that at some 2-bit Croatian Festival... :| :L:

couldnt agree with u more. last august me and a bunch of mates went to sziget festival in budapest. god knows how much they spent on their systems but it was immense. they even had a stage called Moca Kooka which played none stop 24/7 through out the week long festival.
best of all we only payed £80 for entry.

it was a brilliant year. admittedly the sound level was inexcusable AT TIMES, a lot of the time it was also ridiculously good tho. standing right in front of one of the main stage funktion 1 stack for jeff mills was fucking immense.

friday
saw the first 20 mins or so of tomb crew, playing some dubstep at first but i missed the rest of their set - was looking forward to seeing a blend of styles as i've heard they do.
i'm checking the line up now and it doesn't seem as if i really saw any other music on the friday...that happens at glade. but i managed to miss warlock, ben pest, luke's anger, and the whole fucking bangface evening. from the reports though, the volume was much too low to be appreciated, and luckily i'd seen remarc a month or two ago. having said that i was surprised to see someone really good in the breaks tent - andrea lai was playing some absolutely sick ragga breaky garagey stuff, well done that man.

saturday
the only thing i saw before i was working 5 - 11 30 saturday night was cassetteboy and dj rubbish, absolutely ridiculous business just involving a pre recorded set and two men dressed as monkeys miming to the cut u-p samples, fellating each other and performing stripteases before giving way to some full on simian intercourse. i still caught loads of good music during work, taking 'cigarette breaks' every twenty minutes to go and shock out with a joint to vex'd, drop the lime, and the bug with daddy freddy. only bits and pieces, but the bit of vex'ds set i saw was fucking unreal, they dropped dakimh - done when i walked into the tent - great moment.
after work i wandered around near claude vonstroke but i had some sort of mission at hand so i didn't listen properly, returned to the glade stage later to be absolutely destroyed by jeff mills. destroyed.
really gutted i missed ital tek and distance, they were clashing but i saw NEITHER of them :|
sunday
finally saw lots of music.
loved elemental, he got the place moving which was well done considering his was the first set of the sunday.
i saw some of ulrich schnauss, amazing considering i've been into his stuff for years and had never imagined getting to see him live - epic, dawnbreaking music.
dj/rupture clashed with caspa and rusko, but he was absolutely amazing!
the orb was amazing for the half an hour that i witnessed, SO happy to have finally heard alex paterson live.
i was also looking forward to the return of red snapper - they were good, but not as dancey and jungley as i was hoping for (eg. the tunnel, though they may have played it later); they seem to be going for a more traditional band set up now, guitar solos and everything!
droon played some rather messy breakcore rave stuff, so pleased i got to hear his classic CRIPPLE FIGGGGHTTTTT tune in the flesh. horrible stuff. wish i'd seen iration steppas afterwards - it would have been the perfect antidote.
i have to say though - clark!!!!! absolutely incredible, from techno to gabber to breakcore to jungle. the final 40 mins of the festival that i witnessed were his, apart from running into the breaks tent afterwards to hear plastician and nomad say goodbye to the sound of japan.
