Never liked Batman. The setting's always too dark for me.

Let some sunlight into your lives ffs.

But. I might go and see this out of respect to the late Mr Ledger. He's supposed to be really good in it.

See I wonder how much of the praise being heaped on him is due to the fact that he is now a corpse. Maybe I'm being a bit cynical.

first batman was good.

the rest were utter pishflaps up to "Batman Begins" which imo is the best adaption of ANY comic book i.e "DRK:The Dark knight"

"the Dark Knight" the film will be immense.

Its difficult to tell without watching it. But his death has certainly hyped the film up. Lots of people seem to be calling for an Oscar without actually having seen the film.

I Heard that he went to quite some extent of getting into the role of the joker. But who knows untill we have seen it.

Which one was that? (I can easily IMDB this question, tbh.)

I have a soft spot for Batman Returns to be honest. Long story, but it's one of my childhood memories. :)

Possibly some.

But I've read reviews that seem to be genuine. He's supposed to be awesome. I guess we'll see.

An oscar would be interesting. Not sure a deceased actor's ever won one?

Apparently, this chap was the first, and only actor thus far to be awarded a posthumous oscar.

Looking forward to it!

On a side note: Batman Forever was on the telly on Sunday afternoon when I got up after a heavy night - painfully entertaining in it's utter shitness. 99% sure it entertaining only because I was still twisted. Astoundingly shit movie.

agreed
i love the darkness behind it. Its got all the aesthetics of a comic with OTT stories of saving the city (note; not the world) but really gritty setting and proper psychotic villains (specially in the newer ones; begins and dark knight). I love comics and the idea of superheroes but hate the cheesiness of spiderman films etc (which i still love, because I want to be spiderman)
looking fwd to this. Gonna be deep on IMAX.

I had a wicked 2000AD comic from when I was a kid, it was Judge Dredd vs. The Dark Knight. Some absolutely amazing imagery in that. :o
