New JA singer Jah Mikes makes his debut on "Righteousness", voicing over an upbeat roots one drop riddim.... his wicked conscious lyrics & powerful vocal delivery are something to behold.... The instrumental version has live guitars(stephen wright) & live drum/percusion from Shaggy Tojo..... The tuff Dub version is a good old old style mash up pon the mixing desk! Cut in one take... inna traditional sound bwoy "one away dubplate style", flinging the echo & reverb, dropping the channels in & out!!
The flip AA side of the EP has a Killer Steppers tune.... "Bless Me"... Jah mikes again delivers another storming vocal set over a serious Heavy, Heavy steppers riddim... The sub bass on this one drops Serious pressure!!! Tried & tested inna dance by Operation Sound System... This one is a real floor filler & has been tearing up sessions UK wide!
The Dub to "Bless me" is pure Sound System Business & not for the faint hearted! The tunefull live Melodica cut is beutifully played by Japans Shaggy Tojo & is just infectious.... you will have this running round yer head for weeks
