[MCR] T++ HATE FAKTION @ SSR 03/10

T++ [Hardwax/MDR/Erosion/Din/Chain Reaction]
HATE Soundsystem
Faktion DJs

3rd October

10 pounds

School of Sound Recording [SSR]
65- 69 Downing street
M1 7JE

For our return to SSR in October the Faktion crew presents a night of advanced techno and original '92 'ardkore from two of our favourite producers.

Torsten Profrock aka T++ is the forward mind behind 12 years of genre shaping and defining techno music out of his base at Hardwax in Berlin. From early appearances on the fledgling FatCat records under his Various Artist guise to dub techno blueprint setting work on Chain Reaction using his Erosion moniker, via proto-dubstep as Dynamo, then onto his role as half of legendary production unit Monolake, Torsten's had an indelible impact on the course of techno and rhythm bassed electronica that can be considered as influential as the work of Autechre, SND, Basic Channel or Photek. T++ has only played a handful of live shows recently at Fabric and Berghain, so we're fairly buzzing to have him at our little rave lab and strongly recommend you come down to check out a true techno auteur in action.

Finishing the night with a discontinuum of '92 'ardkore, the HATE Soundsystem will be in effect for their debut show at Faktion. The majority of the material on the label is previously unreleased, original dark 'ardkore dating back to 1991-1994 from producers who wish to remain anonymous. A carload full of dubplates and DAT tapes full of unreleased material was handed over to the label at Sowerby bridge in Yorkshire sometime in 2008. We recommend you check out the samples on boomkat.com and start practicing yer moves

One of our resident techno dorks Padro has warned me that it's strictly Berlin/Detroit techno vibes for the first two hours from the resident Faktion DJs so make sure to come down early for some cheap beers and warm up your dancin' shoes. This might be a busy one.
