I've finished up this tune now as I hate leaving tunes unfinished! If you like it, please feel free to download, play out or whatever. Thanks!

On to the next one!
Original post:
Hi all, I'm new here, the forums been a great help so far!
I started work on my first Dubstep tune today, and I was wondering if I could get some feedback please?
http://www.sendspace.com/file/v2eomd
Obviously it's unfinished but I'd like to think it's not *too* bad
Thanks in advance!

arrangement is good, but mix is a little thin. i want to hear the bass up front, and more low end to it. personally id like to hear the drums a little steppier too, but that's a preference.
certainly great as a first dubstep track!

Nice drums, snare slams.
Like the original bass sound, but not completely sold on the main bass stabs, although its a nice riff. Like the breakdown.
Good tune.

This is the final version. I don't want to keep sitting on it else I'll never finish it, time to move on to the next tune. Let me know how it goes down bro, and thanks!

Sounds like its a dnb track slowed down - I know this is a criticism of a lot of dubstep but it seems very applicable here. Same sounds, same bassline, just lacking the amens. Would probably make quite a moody little roller if you just upped the tempo. Productions really good though.
You and Intoccabile know each other from DOA I take it
Hmm....

Fair play.
DnB
was my number one love, but I think it's safe to say Dubstep has taken over now. I learnt a lot from going to FWD>> on Friday, so hopefully that experience will shine through when I start my next tune.
Any feedback is good feedback is my book, thanks!

in that respect we have a lot in common, i think, except that thus far i haven't been blessed with the chance to go FWD>> or DMZ nights

..looking forward to hear your next track though!

very big
production is tight as fuck. groove is a bit sluggish tho, could maybe do with some skippier elements (hats) to give a bit of spice.
